Restorative Yoga, Massage & Reiki
This 2 hour workshop incorporates Restorative Yoga and Reiki, a combination that will guide your mind and body to a deeper state of relaxation. Breathing and meditation techniques to calm the mind and props will be used to allow for a gentle, passive stretch. No experience necessary. This is a no work workshop. What a great way to introduce someone new to yoga. Come pamper yourself with a total mind/body escape.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. During Reiki feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, and feelings of peace, security, and well-being.

Chi Flow

This class combines Yoga, Qi Gong and Meridian Flow. In this practice we will use the ancient wisdom of yoga (asana, pranayama), traditional Chinese medicine and other forms of moving energy through the body. Expect to build strength in the physical body as well as clearing blockages in the subtle energy body. Beginners are always welcome.

End your weekend with this Yin Yoga practice focusing on the Earth element, targeting the spleen and stomach meridians while listening to the sounds of Sanskrit mantra as sung by Lauren Chalas as she plays the beautiful Indian instrument – the harmonium. She will lead us together in singing a mantra together (Kirtan) at the end of practice.
