Join Jennifer Murphy for an evening of SPA yoga. SPA yoga is a restorative, slow flow, floor-based, whole body sensory experience.

By engaging the senses with soothing music, aromatherapy, and lots of gentle hands-on assists/massage, SPA aligns practitioners with the inner wisdom of deep relaxation.

The physical practice opens the body’s subtle energy and prepares students to experience new depths of awareness in a long savasana with Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra to guide you into a deep state of being.

What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, and feelings of peace, security, and well-being.
If you have not experienced reiki in a group setting, the energy can be quite remarkable.

Gentle Hatha and Yoga Nidra 6:30pm-8:00pm

Hatha is derived from 2 Sanskrit words: ‘Ha’ meaning sun and ‘Tha’ meaning moon, the unity of the universe. This class will consist of asana (postures) performed in a gentle slower moving fashion. This class is perfect for beginners to advanced practitioners looking to slow down and refine their postures.
Yoga Nidra (‘yoga sleep’) is an effortless practice where the student rests in savasana while guided through a 61 point meditation. The student remains fully awake during the practice yet may feel as if they are hovering between the awake and sleep state. Yoga Nidra can be practiced by anyone and at any time.

Restorative Yoga, Massage & Reiki

This 2 hour workshop incorporates Restorative Yoga and Reiki, a combination that will guide your mind and body to a deeper state of relaxation. Breathing and meditation techniques to calm the mind and props will be used to allow for a gentle, passive stretch. No experience necessary. This is a no work workshop. Hands On Assist Yoga Workshop

In this workshop, Tricia Glynn, LMT,E-RYT, Melissa McKim, E-RYT and Laura Hanson, LMT will be offering hands on assist to guide you through Hatha yoga poses. There are several benefits to hands on assists: assists can allow a student to move deeper into a pose; correct postural misalignment and instill a state of deep relaxation. Expect a long extended Savasana with lots of hands on:)
