Chakra Yoga

Monday’s 9:15am-10:15am; Thursday’s 6pm-7pm Beginning 11/12

For November/December, I will be offering this class in order to help assist with the stress levels of the holiday season. This time of year can sometimes increase anxiety and let’s face it, who doesn’t have an Uncle Eddie or other toxic relative that they have to see this time of year. If you are an empath like I am, this time of year can be particularly challenging.
It’s important to keep our energetic vibration high and to realize when we are taking on/ absorbing the energies of of others.
In this class, the focus will be on the subtle energy body, specifically the seven main chakra centers. We will use Hatha poses, sound and visualization to connect with each energy center. I will test each student’s chakras and depending on the size of the group, add some reiki in.
Happy Holidays and Namaste

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. During Reiki feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, and feelings of peace, security, and well-being.
