Postnatal Yoga w/Baby – Tuesdays

A wonderful, gentle way to exercise that nourishes your post natal body. Utilizing meditation, pranayama(breath work), and yoga poses to relax and release tension, strengthen and tone your whole abdominal muscles, pelvic floor and overall body. Newborns to 6 months (pre-crawlers) are welcome to join, as we can incorporate them into the yoga practice, encouraging more connection and bonding time between you and your little one.
Please bring a receiving blanket and and any toys that your baby enjoys. And please make sure you check with your doctor to make sure you are clear to resume or begin a yoga practice.

Angela O’Sullivan is a 200hr RYT, Cert. OMBirths Prenatal Yoga Teacher, and trained Dancing for Birth Instructor. She is a Cert. Kids yoga teacher and teaches Family Yoga Classes.

Prenatal Yoga is a safe and gentle way to exercise during all phases of pregnancy, including labor, birth, and postpartum. It increases confidence, strength & flexibility, improves balance & circulation, and helps with common discomforts throughout pregnancy and after.

In class we will utilize asanas (poses), pranayama (breath work), meditation and relaxation techniques to cultivate a stronger sense of personal awareness, confidence, and serenity within. These classes are a great way to bond with your baby and other mothers in a non-judgmental community setting.
We encourage you to check with your doctor, midwife, or other healthcare professional to make sure it’s okay for you to engage in any physical activity before attending classes. Beginners are always welcome.

Marcella Hefferon is a 200hr RYT and certified prenatal yoga teacher. Marcella taught prenatal at Mamas Move in Norwell for many years before they closed their doors and during her own pregnancies. She also trained in Thai Massage, Pilates, Barre and Pound.

Dive into the healing benefits of yoga and mindfulness during pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond. In this workshop we will explore meditation, pranayama, mindful movements, and relaxation techniques. Focus will be on ways to alleviate tension in pregnancy,and learn pain coping techniques beneficial in the birthing process, while growing deeper awareness within and to your lil’ one. Birthing Partners (friend, family, doula etc.) are encouraged to attend. This is both an educational and hands on experience workshop. You will be guided through a gentle yoga flow and finish with a relaxing savasana to nurture your whole body. Pregnancy and Childbirth is such a transformative time in your life,taking the time to honor yourself is so beneficial to you and your growing baby, cultivating the birth wisdom already inside you.
