Unplug & Be Mindful 200 HR Yoga Alliance Approved Yoga Teacher Training primary focus is to prepare you to become a great yoga teacher. It is important that you become aware of your true Self & purpose before guiding others down this path. We do this by helping you develop your own personal Hatha/Vinyasa yoga practice (pranayama, asana & meditation) through the sister science of yoga, Ayurveda; svadhyaya (self-study) to deepen your awareness of the Self, assisting in finding your own unique voice & determining the styles of yoga & population you wish to serve. Ultimately you will be able to teach an adult group yoga class or work privately with students in a safe, purposeful and effective way. Our program focuses on the roots of yoga through the Sankhya school of philosophy. This programs emphasis is on the Function of Asana's over the Form of Asana.
Included in this training (but not limited to):
1. Introduction to Sanskrit and why we use it
2. The meaning of AUM
3. Philosophy (Yoga Sutras of Patanjali; Developing a Personal Practice by Desikachar)
4. Anatomy and Physiology
5. Mantra and Japa/Vedic Astrology (as it applies to your personal chart/practice)
7. Intro to Ayurveda (as it applies to keeping you in balance and guidance in sequencing)
8. Sequencing
9. Prenatal/Postnatal Safety in Group Asana Classes
10. Introduction to Restorative Yoga
11. Ethics in Yoga Teaching
12. Teaching Asana, Pranayama and Meditation in a safe and effective way.
13. Chakras and Subtle Energetic Body
14. Business of Yoga
15. Introduction to Trauma Informed Yoga Practice
This is a long program which is designed to allow you to learn the material, to assimilate it, to apply it to your own life (& practice), & to confidently teach what you've learned. This program will ultimately change the way you see your Self & the world around you. This program emphasizes philosophy, spirituality, energetics & Ayurveda. Payment plans are available.
Total Cost $3500. Includes all books, curriculum & free membership at Unplug during the program.

2024/2025 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Application
Schedule: Tuesday evenings beginning October 1st 5:30pm-8:30pm; 8 Full Weekend Intensives, 3 Saturdays.

300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training- The Energetics of Yoga.
Training includes 140 hours of Asana Techniques, 44 hours Yoga Philosophy, 24 hours of Yoga Anatomy and Physiology, 68 hours of Teaching Methodology, 2.5 hours of Yoga Ethics, and 30 hours of student practicum teaching.
This program emphasizes philosophy, spirituality, the energetics of Yoga & Ayurveda.
Program includes:
1. Traditional Chinese Medicine Meridian pathways through Yin and Myofascial Release. 100 Hours of Yin Yoga Training.
2. Chakras, Nadis, Koshas
3. Functional vs. Form based Asana. Breath centered Hatha Yoga practices.
4. Advanced Pranayama and Kriyas
5. Mudras, Mantras and Yantra.
6. Yoga Nidra
8. Ayu Yoga
9. Sacred Geometry and the philosophy behind the yogasanas.
10. Philosophy: The Living Gita, Katha Upanishads.
11. Vedic Astrology: Yantra, Mantra and Gem Therapy for each student.
12. Developing and sustaining a personal practice.
13. Introduction to Tantra; 10 Yamas and Niyamas, Tantra's View of the Chakras.
14. Student Practicums for each module including a 90-minute 5-part integrated practice, yoga nidra, Yin Yoga classes and presenting a 2-hour workshop on the Tantra Chakra system.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. During Reiki feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, and feelings of peace, security, and well-being.
