I started practicing yoga in 1999 during a period of debilitating anxiety and panic attacks. Yoga, particularly the breath work, brought me back to life quickly and she has practiced ever since. My classes focus on the function of asana over form and how to use the body and breath to connect to the mind. I believe in living in alignment with nature and the Ayurvedic clock. I believe in the teachings of Krischnamacharya; anyone can practice yoga, yet not all styles of yoga are right for everyone's unique bodies.
My current passions are fascia release and acupressure to free up tension in the body and any blockages in the energetic body.
My goal is to make every person who enters my class welcome. I truly believe that yoga is for everyone. This ancient art of healing not only promotes strength and flexibility, but also reduces stress and anxiety. Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation are incorporated to create a complete mind/body experience.

Classes are designed for all levels. Modifications are offered for beginners as well as challenges for more advanced yogis. Hands on assistance is provided throughout class to help you achieve your personal yoga goals and to keep your joints and muscles safe in each asana (posture). All classes conclude with a savasana (a relaxation) to rest and restore your body. Massage and aromatherapy are used to bring your physical body into a deeper state of relaxation and to prepare your mind for a meditative state.
Yoga is my passion. I put my heart and soul into each and every class that I teach. Please come share your practice with me. I promise to do my best to help you find balance in your life through this beautiful art of yoga- body, mind and spirit.
Namaste
